UW-Green Bay gets ‘shout-out’ in story on award-winning actor Tony Shaloub
Even if it isn’t entirely accurate, it is interesting that UW-Green Bay got a shout-out from backstage.com, in a story about famous actor and Green Bay native, Tony Shaloub. The magazine credits, at least part of his under graduate degree to the University. The truth, according to UW-Green Bay records, is that Shalhoub didn’t actually attend UW-Green Bay — but he did star in the University’s 1973 production of “Captain Jack’s Revenge” as a high school senior. The late Prof. Jack Frisch (Communication) directed the young Shalhoub, recalling him as “very good” in a “tour de force” role.
