UW Green Bay to Double Participation in GEAR UP Rising Phoenix Program | Seehafer News

Following the completion of the first year in the program for 42 students, UW Green Bay has announced that they will be doubling the number of students in their GEAR UP Rising Phoenix program.This branch of the Rising Phoenix program specifically targets GEAR UP districts in Green Bay, Ashland, Shawano, Wausau, and Milwaukee.The goal for participating students is to earn both their high school diploma and get a significant head start on their college degree.Students enrolling in the program have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree by the time they graduate from high school.The Rising Phenix program actually began as a partnership with Manitowoc Lincoln High School, the first cohort of which graduated this year.You can learn more about the program by visiting the Rising Phoenix section of UWGB.edu.
