P-G coverage of Senate resolution, UW-Madison split
The Faculty Senate at UW-Green Bay “voted overwhelmingly to oppose” Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. An article in the Green Bay Press-Gazette quotes from the resolution saying, “The governor’s proposal would spark an exodus from teaching in all levels, (but) would be particularly disastrous for universities.” The article also includes information about a proposal to split UW-Madison from the UW System. Chancellor Harden says he doesn’t have any concrete information about the proposal but says UW-Green Bay remains “acutely interested in achieving more flexibility.” Read more.
