UW-Green Bay unveils Strategic Planning Themes
UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas K. Harden unveiled the institution’s new “Strategic Planning Themes” during his remarks to a faculty, staff and community audience at the annual spring-semester kickoff gathering Wednesday (Jan. 19) on campus.
The themes outline the University’s highest priorities as various divisions and programs begin to draft their respective strategic plans in 2011.
The process of identifying the Strategic Planning Themes for UW-Green Bay was broadly inclusive and involved faculty, staff, students and members of the community in 17 facilitated input sessions. The results were discussed with a wide variety of groups and reviewed by the Leadership Council, Faculty Senate, the Academic Staff Committee, and Cabinet.
Seven themes have been identified. In alphabetical order, they are:
- Academic Programs and Enrollment
- Commitment to Community
- Diversity and Institutional Environment
- Finance, Budget, Resources
- Identity, Image, Marketing
- Meeting the Needs of Students
- Sustainability
