Kaye invited to present at FDR Library for 75th anniversary

More prestigious acknowledgment for UW-Green Bay Prof. Harvey Kaye: The Democracy and Justice Studies faculty member has been invited as one of two featured speakers for a Wednesday, Jan. 6, event at the FDR Presidential Library in New York marking the 75^th anniversary of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “Four Freedoms” inaugural address in 1940. The program, titled “FDR’s Four Freedoms: A Conversation with Alexander Heffner and Harvey Kaye,” will take place at 7 p.m. EST at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home, Hyde Park, N.Y. Heffner is a journalist and host of the PBS series “The Open Mind.” Kaye is regarded among the nation’s leading scholars of FDR’s progressive legacy following the publication of his book The Fight for the Four Freedoms: What Made FDR and the Greatest Generation Truly Great.
