Meredith Livingston judges international voice competition

UW-Green Bay Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston judged the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds of the 11th Montreal Czech and Slovak International Voice Competition in Montreal, Canada from Nov. 24-28. Two of the finalists from the Green Bay leg of the competition finished in the finals — Kristin Bigham, soprano, from Chicago, took 5th place; and Kylie Toomer, soprano, from Madison, tied for 6th place. First-place winner recipient of the $5,000 prize for 2011 was Alexander Sylvestre, baritone, from Montreal. Other judges included guests from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and France.
