Prof. Kaye’s Huffington post jabs Congressman on Greatest Generation comment
Harvey J. Kaye is not only a Ben & Joyce Rosenberg distinguished professor, a professor of Democracy and Justice Studies and director of the Center for History and Social Change at UW-Green Bay, he is also a prolific author and essayist. His new book and recent scholarship centers around FDR, progressivism, the Greatest Generation and what he sees as the genius of Roosevelt’s revolutionary social contract with America (not all of which was fully implemented, at least in part because of FDR’s sudden death in 1945 shortly after he began his fourth term). Anyway, when conservative U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa recently took a swipe at FDR’s legacy — and his supporters — the opinionated and never-shy Kaye jumped all over it in his latest Huffington Post guest column; click here.
