Professor Cristina Ortiz is a special guest to the symposium “Unspeakable Truths: Political Violence, Gender & Reconciliation in the Balkans & Spain,” April 14-16, 2022. The conference brings to Dartmouth College 17 international leaders, thinkers, and artists involved in the areas of political violence and reconciliation. Professor Ortiz will present her latest research on the gender implications underlying political violence in the Basque region of Northern Spain. In addition, she will participate in a panel discussion about the role of the arts (literature and film) in promoting positive change in post-violent scenarios. Follow the symposium live.
