Sanders talks Twitter for story on social media and politics

Todd Sanders spoke with reporter (and alumnus) Ben Krumholz about news that now-former state Democratic Party spokesman Graeme Zielinski was removed from his job and docked a week’s pay after he Tweeted comparisons between Gov. Scott Walker and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. “What you say can be broadcast to the world in a click,” Sanders said. “I think the great thing about social media is its passion, its emotion. It’s easy, so people can express themselves out there 24/7 … (but) they don’t always think about what they’re saying. I think that’s the big drawback.” Full story.
