Draney to lead Winter Wonderland Hike

Join UW-Green Bay’s Prof. Mike Draney to discover the beauty of a (possibly) snowy Baird Creek on the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation’s Winter Wonderland Hike in the Parkway. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Christa McAuliffe Park, 3100 Sitka Street, Green Bay. Draney, an associate professor of Natural and Applied Sciences, will lead attendees through the park and answer their questions about spiders, the effects of harsh weather conditions and anything else that comes to mind. Attendees are reminded to dress appropriately for the hikes, which are child friendly, and bring their cameras. Please call ahead (920-328-3505) for parties of six or more.
