Coverage: UW-Green Bay hosts community Kwanzaa celebration

UW-Green Bay was among the hosts for Saturday’s (Dec. 3) annual community Kwanzaa celebration, held at the KI Convention Center downtown. The event included singing, dancing, dining and a featured address from Elgie R. Sims, regional vice president for the Alpha Phi Alpha African American fraternity. Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration that focuses on the traditional African values of family, community, responsibility, commerce and self-improvement.
