Fair Trade Month film
In observance of Fair Trade Month (October), the UW-Green Bay academic unit in Humanistic Studies, The Peace and Justice Center of St. Norbert College and A Better Footprint will host two screenings of the documentary “The Price of Sugar.” This film, which looks at an effort to organize Haitian workers who work under armed guard in the Dominican Republic, raises provocative questions about the products we consume. The screenings will be 7 p.m. next Tuesday (Oct. 20) in the Christie Theatre on the UW-Green Bay campus, and 7 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 22) in the Mulva Library at St. Norbert College. The screenings are free and open to the public.
