Homer Simpson on Monday, Du Châtelet biographer Friday

They’ve added another presenter to the spring lineup of the Historical Perspectives Lecture Series. Prof. Judith P. Zinsser, a professor of history at Miami University, will speak about her latest book, Emilie Du Châtelet: Daring Genius of the Enlightenment. The free discussion is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. Friday, April 3, in the University Union’s Christie Theatre. The book is a biography of the “eighteenth-century aristocrat who balanced the exacting demands of her society with a daring life of the mind.” Read more.
