A record day for 27-1 UW-Green Bay women, and sold-out Kress Center
The first sell-out in the history of UW-Green Bay women’s basketball at the Kress Events Center, a record crowd announced at 4,018, saw the No. 13 Phoenix play an almost perfect offensive game in blowing out Butler, 93-57. Green Bay is now 27-1 and 16-0 in the Horizon League with two games to play. Saturday afternoon’s game was also a Pink Zone cancer fundraiser. Read more.
UW-Green Bay’s next home game will be in the Horizon League Championships, hosted at the Kress Events Center. The team’s opening game will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, vs. the lowest seed.
