Heart disease survivor Fleurant to speak here Feb. 2
On Wednesday (Feb. 2) at noon in Room Phoenix C of the University Union, Paula Fleurant will lead a brown-bag discussion on “Women and Heart Disease.” Fleurant is an 11-year survivor of heart disease (open heart surgery, stents, and cardiac arrest). In addition to being a UW-Green Bay graduate (’75 and ’86) and a nurse, she is also a graduate of the Mayo Clinic’s WomenHeart Scientific Symposium program, a national coalition for women with heart disease. (Information is at www.womenheart.org/.) For the Feb. 2 noon hour program, bring your own sandwich, but chips and beverages will be provided.
