Semester’s 360° Thursdays kick off with Sherman, ‘very small consortium’
As we told you here previously, UW-Green Bay Music is gearing up for another great semester of its 360° Thursdays lecture-concert series. Assistant Music Prof. Courtney Sherman and “a very small consortium” will headline the Thursday (Jan. 30) event, playing miniature masterpieces that are generally 100 notes or fewer or one minute or less in duration. Members are Michael Dewhirst, cello; Associate Prof. Michelle McQuade Dewhirst, horn; Associate Prof. Adam Gaines, trumpet; Lada Gaines, soprano saxophone; Elaine Moss, piano; and Sherman, soprano. The lecture-concert event begins at 6:30 p.m. in Fort Howard Hall at the Weidner Center. As always, it’s free, with donations appreciated. Read more.
