Wisconsin Celebrates Pollinator Week, June 20-26

From UW Extension Brown County: Help pollinators in Wisconsin! Get your calendar and mark down Wisconsin Celebrates Pollinator Week from June 20-26, 2022. Wisconsin Celebrates Pollinator Week is dedicated to raising awareness about pollinators and their habitats through statewide and local activities and events. By increasing knowledge and adopting pollinator friendly practices, we can all help pollinators in Wisconsin and contribute to the national effort! National Pollinator Week is an annual event managed by the Pollinator Partnership to help spread the word about what we can do to protect pollinators. Pollinators in Wisconsin and around the world are facing population declines for many reasons. You can get involved in a lot of ways! Learn more about pollinators in our free statewide webinars, order your own Pollinator Activity Pack, find pollinators and habitats in a scavenger hunt, participate in the Pollinator Week BioBlitz through the iNaturalist smartphone app, create artwork for our poster contest, and use the resource library to help pollinators in your own yard, garden, and community. By creating pollinator friendly habitats, reducing or eliminating environmental contamination from pesticides, and spreading the word about pollinators with your communities, we can all contribute to pollinator conservation. See many activities including the first Pollinator Palooza! at the Brown County STEM Innovation Center, Saturday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Celebrates Pollinator Week website.
