Music student St. John to present no-cost Senior Recital Sunday, April 28

A UW-Green Bay voice student will present his Senior Recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in the Jean Weidner Theatre at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Kevin St. John, baritone, is a student of Associate Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston. Accompanied by Emily Sculliuffo on piano, he will perform a variety of works including the classics of such composers as George Frideric Handel and Franz Schubert — along with Irish folksongs and selections from Maurice Ravel’s “Don Quichotte á Dulcinee,” among other pieces. The concert is free and open to the public.

The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of requirements for the Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from UW-Green Bay, a fully accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. It will cap off a weekend of recitals at the theatre, where saxophonist Sam Stranz and vocalists Ryan Braatz and Nicole Duhaime will present their Junior Recitals at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, Saturday, April 27.

The St. John recital is the 29th concert of the 2012-13 academic year for UW-Green Bay Music. More information is available online at www.uwgb.edu/music.
