Eight faculty presenters for CATL’s ‘Active Learning Poster Session’
“Active Learning” is the theme of a UW-Green Bay faculty poster session scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. next Wednesday (April 14) in Room 103 of the University Union. Presenters are Gaurav Bansal, Kim Baker, Ellen Rosewall, Dean Von Dras, Sarah Meredith, Christine Vandehouten, Brenda Tyczkowski and Amy Wolf. Promoting creative and critical thinking, engaging students, reaching Millenial learners—regardless which of these may be your goal, part of the answer is using active learning strategies in the classroom. Do you already use such approaches but are looking for new ideas? Are you are searching for a place to start? Drop in on this poster session to see ways your colleagues in a variety of disciplines use active learning in both introductory and advanced level classes. The session in UU 103 is hosted by CATL — the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
