Teen Connection looks at ‘Somali Teens and Culture’

Scheduled for air next Tuesday (March 20), Wisconsin Public Television’s Teen Connection series will address “Somali Teens and Culture.” Four Somali teens will tell their stories of adjustments living and going to school in Green Bay and Howard-Suamico. Teens and their families from the war-torn, east African nation of Somalia have been granted refugee status and are living and enrolling in Wisconsin schools. Adult panel members include Hamida Ismael, Ibrahim Seikh, Zeynab Omar and Kourtney Feldhausen, ELL Coordinator, Howard-Suamico Schools.
