More awards for Fourth Estate

Fresh off a nice haul at the Associated Collegiate Press’ Best of the Midwest competition earlier this month, staff members of the UW-Green Bay Fourth Estate are garnering some more awards. The Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s annual convention and trade show in Madison saw collegiate-division awards for several articles from last spring. Allie Reinikainen placed third for sports reporting for her article, “Phoenix women’s basketball breaks school record as 12/13 in nation.” Erika Bonnell, Sadie Wilson, Lea Spude, Lindsey Puls and Kerrie Balcaitis won third in investigative reporting for their piece, “Tough Times for UW-Green Bay faculty.” The latter article won second place at the Associated Collegiate Press last weekend.
