Application deadline for Student Regent appointment
Gov. Scott Walker has announced he is seeking applicants for the non-traditional student representative on the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents. (Anybody listening at UW-Green Bay, where older and online learners make up a significant portion of enrollment?) The undergraduate student representative must be at least 24 years of age and represent the views of non-traditional students, such as those who are employed or who are parents; this representative will serve for two years. A cover letter, resume and application form (available at www.walker.wi.gov) are required. The deadline for submitting application materials is noon this Friday (Jan. 31). Potential applicants with questions about the appointments process may contact Eric Esser at 608-266-1212.
