Close-ups: Faculty art on display
Students, faculty and community members gathered Feb. 6 at UW-Green Bay’s Lawton Gallery to hear from the artists being featured in the faculty exhibition, “Unnatural Selection.”
“It’s a special privilege that we have as art faculty to be able to share our scholarship and research with the wider audience,” said Alison Gates, chair of the Art program.
Gates, Barbara Gossen, Donald Krumpos, Jennifer Mokren, Alison Stehlik and Johanna Winters, a 2007 UW-Green Bay graduate, now a member of the art faculty, shared some of the processes, inspirations and goals of their work. Krumpos and Winters collaborated on three pieces in the show.
“Unnatural Selection” is at the gallery until Feb. 27. The Lawton Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
