WBAY: UW-Green Bay moves to keep athletes healthy
UW-Green Bay is changing its game plan when it comes to the health of its athletes, WBAY’s Emily Matesic reports.
With the threat of the H1N1 virus, the University’s Athletics Department is taking precautions to keep athletes healthy.
“Probably the biggest change is the communication — more direct communication with how to prevent it,” UW-Green Bay Athletics Director Ken Bothof told WBAY.
Each team had a meeting with the athletic training staff where tips to stay healthy were a top priority.
“Wash your hands, practice good respiratory etiquette, and just let us know when you’re sick,” head athletic trainer Jeremy Cleven said.
