Vets club collects ‘care package’ items for students in military

The Vets 4 Vets Club at UW-Green Bay is collecting donations for “care packages” that will be forwarded to students currently serving in the military. There is a collection box for donated items in the Registrar’s office in the Student Services Building. The list of suggested items includes:

• Gift cards (Amazon, eBay, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy, iTunes, etc.)
• AT&T phone cards
• beef jerky
• chewing tobacco (plastic container)
• socks
• candy
• footballs, soccer balls
• DVDs of movies or TV series
• individually wrapped snacks (chips, granola bars, Little Debbie snacks)

“Letters and cards are welcome also!  Thank you!” The collection runs through Wednesday, Dec. 10.
