Grateful: UW-Green Bay students show appreciation to Founders in fall reception
The 2014-15 Founders Association Scholarship reception was held Friday, Oct. 10 at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Created in 1973, the Founders Association raises community support and annual funds for scholarships and academic programs. The organization is also a bridge to the community, promoting and providing advocacy for UW-Green Bay. Over 90 Founders, scholarship recipients, family and friends celebrated together.
Speaking during the brief program in the Weidner Center foyer were emcee Jeanne Stangel, assistant chancellor for University Advancement; Founders Board President Anita Resch ’03 and ’09; students Zachary Parkin and Savanah Saldaña; and Chancellor Gary Miller. Music was provided by UWGB faculty members Stefan Hall and Brian Sutton.
