UW-Green Bay Council of Trustees welcomes new members
GREEN BAY, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Council of Trustees recently announced new members.
Ashwani Bhatia, MD, CPE, FACP, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer, BayCare Clinic, LLP
Dr. Bhatia joined BayCare Clinic in 2019 and is an active liaison between leadership and medical providers. His focus is to strengthen operational, fiscal and quality performance to ensure organizational success and most importantly, delivery of the highest quality of care to BayCare’s patients. Prior to joining BayCare Clinic, Dr. Bhatia held numerous leadership positions with Aurora BayCare Medical Center and continues to practice internal medicine there. He is also an adjunct associate professor of medicine with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Bhatia earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. Dr. Bhatia is a certified physician executive and a member of the Vanguard Group for the American Association for Physician Leadership.
Dr. Bhatia serves on the New North Board of Directors and is actively involved with the American India Foundation. He is committed to promoting diversity and equity through his firm belief in ESG (environmental, social and governance) principles.
Brighid Riordan, Chief Executive Officer, Nsight
Brighid Riordan is chief executive officer (CEO) of Nsight and its subsidiaries including Cellcom, the sixth-largest wireless carrier in the United States. Over her 23 years with the company, Brighid has developed a passion for the brands, people, technology and stories embodied by the family of companies she works for and is motivated by the good they infuse into local communities.
Brighid is a member of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce board and executive committee. She is Vice President of the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon after serving on the board over the past 20 years and as president for ten of those years. She serves on the board of directors for the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and for Camp Tekakwitha and serves on Associated Bank’s advisory board. Brighid earned her MBA from St. Norbert College in May 2020.
Her home life is filled with the antics of her two teenage boys, Owen and Finn, and two dogs, Olive and Belle; otherwise known as the Beast and the Beauty. She appreciates the magnificence of that adventure. She lives in downtown Green Bay and is an enthusiastic ambassador of the vibrancy of her urban backyard. Her interests include studying women’s significant and special roles in business and the evolving place of telecommunications and technology in our lives.
