Green Bay Correctional Institution officers visit Democracy and Justice Studies classroom

Corrections officers from Green Bay Correctional Institution (GBCI) visited student in “Introduction to Democracy and Justice Studies” on Thursday, to talk about what it is like to work in GBCI.  One of the officers included UW-Green Bay alum Claire Thiessen (Democracy and Justice Studies-Criminal Justice, ’17).  Program graduates from the Democracy and Justice Studies-Criminal Justice major have gone on to have a career in law enforcement, applying  their critical approach to the field.
