UW-Green Bay Theatre, Dance & Music present musical about chance & choice
GREEN BAY– University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre & Dance program along with the UW-Green Bay Resch Institute of Music will be presenting the Broadway musical If/Then November 17-19 at 7:30 p.m. at University Theatre, Theatre Hall on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
It is pretty safe to say that everyone has had a “what if…” moment in their life. What if you would have left the house five minutes earlier? Would you have been in the car accident that caused the traffic back up? What if you took the other job you were offered? Would you be just as happy or successful as you currently are? What if it was sunny the day you bumped into your future partner? Would you have ever met if you weren’t trying to get out of the rain? Nominated for a Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle Award in 2014 for Best Original Score, If/Then is from the creators of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning creators of Next to Normal. With music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, If/Then examines the intersection between choice and chance in our lives. Following the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life, If/Then splits into two, simultaneous storylines with Liz going in one direction and Beth in the other. If/Then is directed by Thomas Campbell with musical direction by Ben Olejniczak and choreography by Denise Carlson-Gardner.
If/Then stars Jasmine Christyne (Elizabeth) from Houston, TX along with Audrey Soberg (Kate), Jenny Witt (Anne) Blake Larson (Stephen), Alexandra Smith (Ensemble) and Aubrey Stein (Ensemble) all from Appleton. Chase Grabowski (Lucas) hailing from Marinette, Ty Witthuhn (Ensemble) from Seymour, Mickey Wirtz (Josh) from Pulaski, Nox Brewer (Ensemble) of Cudahy, Ben Hansen (Ensemble) of Fond Du Lac, Sam Lownik (Ensemble) from Oak Creek, Alyssa Mocadlo (Ensemble) of Hortonville, Olivia Smith (Ensemble) from Peshtigo and Mason Amidon (David) and Olivia Zwerlein (Elena) both from Slinger.
If/Then will perform November 17, 18, & 19 at 7:30 in University Theatre, Theatre Hall on the University of Wisconsin -Green Bay campus. Tickets for If/Then are $30 in advance for adults and $33 at the door. Seniors and students can purchase tickets for $25 in advance or $28 at the door. UW-Green Bay students are $18 in advance or at the door. Tickets can be purchased at University Ticketing Services located in the UW-Green Bay University Union.
