Schreiber Foods Institute for Women’s Leadership introduces first fully-online Leadership Programs for Emerging Women Leaders
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 27, 2023
Green Bay, WI — Schreiber Foods Institute for Women’s Leadership at UW-Green Bay is growing its portfolio of women’s leadership networking, education and inspiration events with the addition of the new Emerging Leadership program. The Institute’s first fully-online program series Emerging Leaders, is designed specifically for women who have demonstrated leadership ability but have yet to have formal management experience.
“We’ve all worked alongside women who have the qualities to be in leadership, but need some formal training or additional skills building to take that next step,” says Janet Bonkowski, Executive Director of the Institute for Women’s Leadership. “We can continue to wait for them to grow into it through on-the-job coaching, or we can accelerate that potential through education. This new program will build on and strengthen existing skills, giving organizations the leaders they need now.”
Online sessions are live (not recorded) and begin October 11, 2023. Each session runs 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and involves engaging discussion, interactive activities and opportunities to reflect and apply learnings to real life scenarios. Sessions include:
- The Power of Collaboration
- Effective Communication
- Building Intentional Relationships
- Influence without Authority
- Leading with Self Awareness
Complete information on the Emerging Leadership courses, including live online session dates and facilitators, can be found on the website. Completion of courses will be a step in the right direction of becoming a confident and effective leader.
