UW-Green Bay to host open house for veterans
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is reaching out to veterans and their families by making them aware of the benefits available to them.
UW-Green Bay will hold a veterans open house on Monday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cloud Commons inside the University Union at UW-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive.
The open house is open to students and community members who are veterans or the dependents of veterans.
“Last year, this program was successful in locating student dependents who did not realize they had veteran benefits,” said UW-Green Bay veterans coordinator Elaina Koltz.
Those in attendance will learn more about G.I. Bills, VA health care including post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, Veterans Education Reimbursement Grants and Wisconsin Veterans Loans.
