LeadGB Girls and LeadGB Boys Have Spots Available!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 2, 2025
Popular summer youth leadership camps are held at UW-Green Bay
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The LeadGB Girls and LeadGB Boys youth leadership camps still have spots available! UW-Green Bay is proud to host these youth leadership programs as part of the University’s summer camp program line-up. LeadGB Girls is for 1st through 8th grade girls and has availability June 16-20 and June 23-27, 2025. LeadGB Boys is for 4th through 8th grade boys and has availability July 14-18, 2025. Now is the time to register your future leader.
LeadGB is run by local leaders, Chelsea Faase and Chuck Brehm, who draw on their decades of experience as professional educators to create impactful programming for campers. The goal of LeadGB is for campers to learn life skills that help them to be resilient problem solvers, develop relationships and communication skills, become more attuned to their physical and mental health and empower them to succeed now and into the future.
LeadGB creates a partnership between the area’s successful and diversified male and female leaders and the young people who will one day take their place. Campers participate in a variety of team building activities each day that challenge them physically, mentally, and socially. Through engaging hands-on activities, guest speakers from the community, and education on healthy and positive life choices, the youth participating in the camps have opportunities to understand who they can grow into as healthy individuals and leaders.
Each day campers spend time reading about inspirational figures, playing games that help them get to know each other, working on creative projects that express themselves and engaging in physical activity. Mentorship, storytelling, and confidence building are the pillars that ensure these future leaders are successful in whatever endeavor they undertake.
The daily curriculum for both camps changes each year. Campers are encouraged to participate every summer and build on what they have learned year over year. Nicole Schutte, parent of a camper who attended LeadGB Girls in 2024, had this to say, “We couldn’t have been a part of a better organization! My daughter is already so excited for next year!”
UW-Green Bay is home to a variety of programs and camps throughout the summer. Please visit www.uwgb.edu/camps for information on all of UW-Green Bay’s summer camp offerings.
