UW-Green Bay to host Christopher Bedford, executive editor with the Common Sense Society, speaking on Common Sense: Ideas that Transform

Green Bay, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will welcome Christopher Bedford, executive editor with Common Sense Society for a free community presentation. Bedford’s presentation is part of the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership speaker series and will address “Common Sense: Ideas that Transform.” The event will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 7 p.m. via livestream or in-person at The Weidner on the Green Bay Campus. Christopher Bedford is the executive editor at Common Sense Society, where he is responsible for CSS’s print and online publications. Formerly, he was a senior editor at The Federalist, editor-in-chief of The Daily Caller News Foundation, and editor-in-chief of The New Guard magazine. He is currently vice chairman of Young Americans for Freedom and on the boards of The Daily Caller News Foundation and National Journalism Center. He is a Lincoln Fellow at the Claremont Institute, a Pulliam Fellow at Hillsdale College, and a Madison Fellow. He has been published in The American MindNational Review, The Telegraph, The New Criterion, The Washington Examiner, Compact and the New York Post, and he is a frequent guest on Fox News and Fox Business.

UW-Green Bay’s Aaron Weinshenck, the Ben J. and Joyce Rosenberg professor of Political Science will moderate the conversation as Bedford shares his belief in the power of aspirational ideas as being indispensable to human flourishing and happiness. Bedford’s experiences as an author (“The Art of the Donald,”) journalist, editor, and vice chairman of Young Americans for Freedom, provide valuable insights and a unique perspective about current events, presidential politics, elections, and the media. His presentation will also include a question-and-answer session with the audience.
