February course helps educators address alcohol, drug issues

UW-Green Bay’s Division of Outreach and Adult Access will offer a winter course designed to help educators identify and address Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) issues in the school setting. Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Crossroads at Big Creek Environmental Preserve in Sturgeon Bay. Participants will learn how to identify a student who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, as well as how to appropriately address this situation in the school environment.
