24th Annual FOCUS Conference Breaks Attendance Record!
In partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW-Green Bay’s Continuing Education and Workforce Training Division recently organized and facilitated the FOCUS Conference on November 20 and 21. The conference was held locally in Green Bay at the KI Center and brought in an estimated $389,440 economic impact to the Green Bay community.
The two-day conference was for healthcare providers and staff, provider association representatives, and Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) staff, bringing together regulators and providers to work on improving the quality of life for individuals living in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in Wisconsin through education.
This year,1,016 people attended the conference, which broke the attendance record for any previous year. The conference also attracted a record high for exhibitors with 57 organizations present. This successful conference helps educate providers to ensure quality care and programming across the region.
