Men’s soccer (6-7-5) puts four on all-Horizon

The Green Bay men’s soccer team (6-7-5) had its 2008 campaign halted Nov. 6, as the Phoenix was bested by Detroit in penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie at soggy Santaga Stadium in a Horizon League tournament opener. On the plus side, four players were announced earlier in the day as all-Horizon honorees. (It was the best such showing since 1994.) Senior Tosaint Ricketts (Edmonton, Alberta) made first team for the second straight year, and he was joined by sophomore JC Banks (Milwaukee). Also honored were freshman Tony Walls (Wauwatosa) and sophomore David Prochazka (Gothenburg, Sweden), named to the second team.
