Two Phoenix Women Earn All-League Honors

Hosting the Horizon League Championships for the first time since 2000, the UW-Green Bay women’s cross country team shined, as two Phoenix runners, Jolene Sell (Menasha, Wis.) and Josey Bellin (Fremont, Wis.) claimed all-league honors. It was the first time since 1991 that the Phoenix had two members gain all-conference accolades. As a team, the UW-Green Bay women placed sixth in the 10-team field with 150 points. The Phoenix men finished in ninth with 251 points. Race conditions were ideal, as bright sunshine, 50-degree temperatures, and winds between 8-12 mph greeted the runners on the UW-Green Bay Cofrin Memorial Arboretum Trails course.
