Founders honor Swette
Donald Swette poses with his wife, Marilyn, after being honored at the fall reception of the UW-Green Bay Founders Association on Oct. 29 at the Weidner Center. The organization bestowed Founders Director Emeritus status upon Swette, a board member since 1986 and a tireless advocate for student scholarships and academic programs through his service on the Annual Support Committee. A longtime business owner (Appraisers Inc.) and civic leader in Green Bay, Don and his wife Marilyn continue to support community programs that benefit education, social services, the arts and more. Swette got a big laugh from the audience when he accepted the award and humorously advised the University, “Never forget the ‘C’ students (like me). They’re the ones who hire the ‘A’ students!”
