Announcing gender-neutral restrooms
The campus community is reminded that gender-neutral restrooms are now available to individuals who prefer to use them. In December 2007, the UW-Green Bay Student Government Association passed a resolution calling for the conversion and “re-signing” of all single-occupancy restrooms on campus from gender limited (male/female) to gender neutral. The University’s administration supported the resolution, and the conversion of 15 single-occupancy restrooms to gender neutral was completed this summer. TThe majority of the converted restrooms are located in residence halls. However, five are located in general-access University facilities. They include one at the Kress Events Center, two in the University Union (First and Third Floors) and two in the Cofrin Library (First Floor). Anyone with questions about the locations of, or access to, the gender-neutral restrooms should contact the Business & Finance Office (465-2210) or the Dean of Students Office (465-2152).
