Phoenix hosts Horizon cross-country meet
Turn out and support your UW-Green Bay runners on what should be a beautiful Saturday (Nov. 1) on campus. People from Intercollegiate Athletics and especially coach Mike Kline have been working hard in preparation for the 2008 Horizon League Cross Country Championships. The starting line is in the vicinity of the Kress Events Center and the course then sets out on the trails of the beautiful Cofrin Memorial Arboretum. The women’s 5,000-meter race will begin at 11 a.m. CDT, followed by the men’s 8,000 at noon CDT. There is no admission charge for the event. Says Kline, “It will be great to have all the Horizon League schools on our campus, and it also will be a thrill for our student-athletes to have a chance to compete at home. I really think that all of the runners will enjoy the course.”
