Hoewisch, Tetschlag earn preseason honors

The UW-Green Bay women has just one starter returning from last season’s basketball squad. Nevertheless, they’re the favorite to win a 12th consecutive Horizon League championship. And two players have been named to the pre-season all-league teams. Junior Celeste Hoewisch, the lone returning starter, has been tabbed as a first-team selection, while junior Kayla Tetschlag has received second-team honors. The Phoenix opens its season at 2 p.m. Saturday with an exhibition game against St. Norbert College at the Kress Events Center.
