A failed chancellor search at UW-Parkside led UW System President Kevin Reilly to hire an outside consultant to review the System’s chancellor search procedures. The review, done by Stephen Portch, chancellor emeritus of the University System of Georgia and an 18-year veteran of the UW System, makes a handful of recommended changes that Reilly said he would consider. Portch writes, “The UW System policies and procedures are sound, thorough and specific. However, the changing search environment suggests some revisions may be helpful and timely.”
