Student Success Coach awarded Young-Professional-of-the-Year Award
Area businesses and organizations came together recently for the first Marinette Menominee Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Dinner since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the night’s celebrations, Chairperson of the Wave, Marinette Menominee Young Professionals (MMYP) organization Adam Orth presented the organization’s Young-Professional-of-the-Year Award to Student Success Coach at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus Adam Landenberger. Landenberger’s nominator described him as “a true collaborator hands-on leader that will help out to get the job done.” They also shared that when he joined the group there was an immediate injection of energy.
Landenberger joined the K-12 and Community Relations team as a student success coach for the GEAR UP Rising Phoenix Program earlier this year. Previously, he served as an admissions counselor for UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus for two years.
The goal of WAVE is to attract, welcome and retain young professional into the Marinette Menominee region through professional development, community service and social networking.
The Rising Phoenix Early College High School Program is an innovative collaboration between GEAR UP Target School Districts, DPI WEOP, and UW-Green Bay to provide high school students an opportunity to get a head start on college. Students from Wisconsin GEAR UP target high schools below will be admitted to the Rising Phoenix Early College High School Program to be enrolled during their junior and senior years.
