On August 22, UW-Green Bay hosted College Credit in High School (CCIHS) World Languages teacher workshop to address curricular changes in the face of AI and how to incorporate cultural content and global awareness. Over 50 CCIHS teachers attended in-person and virtually.

Presenters included Rachelle Schuster (Bay Port High School), Hayley Vandenbush (Denmark High School), Ross Valentyn (Little Chute High School), Andy Schwei (Oregon High School), Allison Gernhardt and Abby Varela (Pewaukee High School) and Dianna Rogers Wells (Verona High School).

The CCIHS program enables students from select high schools to take college courses in the high school setting that count for both high school and college credit. This program saves students thousands of dollars of tuition credit, while also increasing their confidence in taking college courses and sets them up for success in transitioning to the college environment. UW-Green Bay has over 4,000 students enrolled in CCIHS courses.
