Furch was ‘Night Wave’ sculptor
Funeral services are scheduled later this week for Frank “Bud” Furch, who died Aug. 13, at age 81. He was a Chicago-area environmentalist, musician, yachtsman and sculptor working in bronze, chrome, fiberglass and other materials. One of his artworks, titled “Night Wave” and installed on the UW-Green Bay campus, is made of aluminum and depicts an abstract wave. The piece was commissioned by former Marinette residents Robert C. Hood and his wife, Marjorie. Other Furch sculptures are on display at Northwestern University and in private and corporate collections. Read Chicago Tribune obituary.
