Weidner Philharmonic Announces Free Concert to Kick Off the 2025/2026 Season on September 5 at The Weidner

Concert Series Includes Five Titles Including: Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, The Nutcracker, Harry Potter™ In Concert and more

Green Bay, Wis. – The Weidner is pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Weidner Philharmonic Concert Series. The five concert titles and performance dates were introduced this morning (July 29) at a media event at The Weidner alongside community partners Northeastern Wisconsin Dance Organization (NEWDO), and The Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College.

It all kicks off with a free concert on Friday, September 5 at 6:30 PM at The Weidner. The free concert entitled, EcoRhythms is inspired by the role of music in our cultural ecosystems and features a world premiere from Thai composer Narongrit Dhamabutra. Guests are invited to enjoy the Weidner Philharmonic symphony with no cost barriers. Join us a little early, because we’re throwing a pre-concert tailgate in the parking lot of The Weidner complete with food trucks, lawn games, the UW-Green Bay Pep Band, guest marching bands from area high schools and more!

Starting in 2024, Wei Phi partnered with The Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College on Holiday Pops at The Weidner. In 2023, Wei Phi’s symphony recordings were approved by John Williams to perform the Harry Potter™ In Concert Series, performing the first installment in the film series to sold-out audiences in the Spring of 2024.
