Final push for RecycleMania 2012! Early results illustrate progress
For the third straight year, the UW-Green Bay community is participating in RecycleMania, the friendly national competition that doubles as a benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities. Working with the campus waste hauler, data is collected on the amount of recycling and trash generated each week. With 60 new and easily identifiable recycling stations in the academic buildings, recycling bins in the University Union and the Kress Center, as well as throughout student housing, it’s always easy to find a recycling bin for plastic bottles, cans, paper and cardboard.
