Community Impact Internship Program

Career Planning and Professional Connections at UW-Green Bay is committed to expanding the number of paid internships available to students with financial need. They recently secured enough funding to establish a Community Impact Program to further this goal of helping students with unpaid internships at nonprofit or government organizations. $100,000 was secured from both internal and external sources.

Internships help students bridge the gap between education and employment and offer employers the opportunity to showcase careers at their company or in their industry for students to explore.

Next Steps:

Employers

Employers interested in hosting an intern through the Community Impact Internship Program can submit for funds through the online employer interest form. The deadline for employers to express interest is March 15.

Students

If students are interested, and they have been offered an unpaid internship position at a nonprofit organization or government entity or are looking for a position for summer and fall, they should submit for funds through our online student interest form. Student deadlines for summer positions are April 1 and July 15 for fall positions.
