Update on enrollment campaign: Encouraging results…
The Log newsletter recently took the initiative to quiz enrollment-initiative leader Jen Jones of Admissions as to the outlook for fall semester 2015. She responded by citing several highlights: As of this past Monday (Feb. 16), applications from new freshmen were up 13 percent, and admits to date have increased 7 percent. Additionally, transfer-student applications are beginning to pick up as we enter the prime period for transfer decisions. Jones thanked the campus community and more than 100 individuals across the University who have already provided hands-on help since the recruitment push began Nov. 1. “Your ongoing support for enrollment is greatly appreciated,” Jones said. “We have a long road ahead, and I’m so grateful to be on this journey with amazing faculty, staff and students across campus.”
