Keihn announcements retirement
After more than 30 years in education, Sue Keihn, associate provost for student affairs and dean of students, has decided to retire. Keihn came to UW-Green Bay in 1996 and was only the second person at the University to hold the title “dean of students.” “I’ve been in education more than 30 years, and I do it because I love the students,” Keihn said. “By virtue of where and what this office is, we have a very hands-on operation. I see students every day. I problem solve with the students every day. It’s very satisfying to have those interactions and to work with these young adults on their way toward earning a degree in higher education.” Keihn will stay on through July. Read more.
Keihn’s message to staff
Sue Keihn first announced her retirement to Student Services staff members via e-mail:
- “After 34 years in Student Affairs, I will be retiring at the end of this school year. It has been a pleasure and honor to serve UW-Green Bay students with you. I have appreciated working with all of the dedicated and committed colleagues here in Student Affairs. I came to UW-Green Bay in 1996 because it had one of the best Student Affairs operations in the UW System. I am confident you will retain that reputation in the years to come. Thank you for your continued hard work, excellent service to students, and collaborative teamwork. It has been a very positive experience for me. I plan to be on campus through July and will assist in whatever way I can with a smooth transition.”
